ABOUT DR PRINCE MAKAULULE

Dr Prince Ratshili Makaulule is a qualified Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) surgeon with over 17 years of clinical experience and a deep passion for improving the lives of his patients. With a reputation for warmth, professionalism and clinical excellence, he brings both skill and heart to every consultation and procedure.
His journey into medicine began with encouragement from his family, but it was through years of dedicated patient care that he found his true calling. Today, Dr Makaulule leads with empathy, creating a space where patients feel heard, respected and well cared for.
Dr Makaulule completed his undergraduate medical degree in 2007 and specialised in ENT surgery through the University of the Witwatersrand, completing his training and research components between 2016 and 2018. He later pursued advanced training in Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS) in the United States and has led high-impact clinical teams in South Africa, including the Head and Neck Oncology Unit at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital.
He has a strong subspecialist interest in voice and swallowing disorders, working with singers, pastors and orators of all walks of life.
This is an area where he continues to contribute through both clinical innovation and multidisciplinary collaboration. Dr Makaulule works closely with speech therapists, oncologists, plastic surgeons, and other allied professionals to deliver comprehensive, integrated care.
Beyond the consulting room, he is a family man with a passion for farming. He grows pineapples and avocados and is known for sharing his produce with patients, a personal touch that reflects his commitment to building genuine relationships and improving quality of life in more ways than one.
